Kristy & Rick - Wedding - McMenamins Edgefield, Troutdale, Oregon

Kristy & Rick were such a laid back, lovely couple to work with. I loved their unique outer space/cosmos themed wedding details. It was a beautiful summer day at McMenamins Edgefield in Troutdale, Oregon, with the ceremony held In the Blackberry Meadow, just outside of the reception spot, Blackberry Hall.

One of the most memorable moments of the wedding for came with a little bit of serendipity. We heard a brass band playing while we were taking post ceremony portraits. They were just on the other side of the hall & I suggested that we head their way to see if we could grab a few shots with the band playing. It turned out to be Portland’s own, The Brassroots Movement (who also made an appearance at another wedding I shot). The band was kind enough to play for the couple as I snapped some photos , but beyond that they even did the generous, impromptu act of playing the couple in for their entrance into Blackberry Hall. So much fun.
